Shit, Eh?

Nothing Special.

The air was cold and we were walking with absolutely no direction.

“I always get left for another girl.”

Without holding back I blurted out, “I know! I don’t understand why these guys are doing that! Seriously, who leaves YOU? I think of you and think that if you married your high school sweetheart, it would be you.”

She smirked and then brush off my compliment, “You’re just saying that because you’re my friend.”

“No I’m saying this from the bottom of homo I am.”

She laughed, maybe from being uncomfortable, maybe she couldn’t take me seriously - I was dead serious though.

Then the next few words broke my heart a little bit.

“There’s nothing special about me.”

Maybe it was blunt to say she doesn’t love herself, she does, she just put more of herself in her lovers. Looking at wonderful girls like that, I wonder who could ever reject her, find satisfaction in someone else and not be content with her? How? She’s an intellectual, good work ethic, a humble personality despite her many fortunes and a beautiful woman all around.

My friendship with her flourished today, I confide in her as she has with me a bit. Our friendship is very pure, being friends the right way, you don’t see it happening but one day it just clicks. You realize you both have more in common than you thought and it’s odd and beautiful.

She said there was nothing special about her and perhaps she’ll never understand but she is one of those women you take to your mother and you’ll be so proud you found someone like her, just as much as she talks, she listens. She’s a good person with a good heart and she realizes she wears her heart on her sleeve, but it still doesn’t harden her, she’s still the same - she stays as she is. She has grace that makes you stumble over your own two feet.

Definitely special, not everyone has the charisma she has.
